I’m in Toronto for AAS 2012. The vast majority of the people here are either Americans, or live in the U.S. A fun game is to watch people inadvertently insult all Canadians in the course of regular conversations.
- “Do you all accept dollars here?” (This is insulting on several levels.)
- “It’s almost like we’re in a different country.”
- “In English it’s called ‘a cookie.'” (Get it?)
I am responsible for saying one of these. Sorry, Canada.
