Insulting Canadians by Accident

I’m in Toronto for AAS 2012. The vast majority of the people here are either Americans, or live in the U.S. A fun game is to watch people inadvertently insult all Canadians in the course of regular conversations.

  1. “Do you all accept dollars here?” (This is insulting on several levels.)
  2. “It’s almost like we’re in a different country.”
  3. “In English it’s called ‘a cookie.'” (Get it?)
I am responsible for saying one of these. Sorry, Canada.
