We think that kangaroos are pretty much like deer. People who aren’t from Australia (like us) are fascinated by them, but Australians consider them basically a garden pest and a road hazard, just like how people from Ithaca (like us) consider deer to be pests and road hazards even though our visitors don’t. EP, for his part, doesn’t see what the big deal is anyway. Right now he’s far more interested in airplanes and airports.
